Fabienne Khoury: Where Beauty Becomes Art, Precision, and Transformation

1- How would you introduce yourself today, and what does your journey in the beauty world mean to you personally?

I am Fabienne khoury, after more than 24 years of experience, I present myself as a distinguished beauty expert whose work lives at the intersection of artistry, precision, and transformation. As a certified beautician, international makeup artist, permanent makeup and paramedical PMU specialist, and cosmetologist, my career is built not only on skill, but on vision, discipline, and an uncompromising standard of excellence.

My journey in the beauty world is deeply personal because it was never simply a profession it was a calling. From the beginning, I was drawn to the power beauty holds: the power to restore confidence, to soften insecurities, and in many cases, to help individuals reclaim a part of themselves they thought was lost. Especially through paramedical and corrective work, I have witnessed beauty become a form of healing emotional as much as physical.

For me, beauty is refinement, confidence, and quiet strength. It is not about excess, but about harmony and elevation. Every face I work on is treated as a masterpiece, every procedure as a responsibility, and every client experience as a reflection of the level I stand for.

My journey represents evolution, resilience, and the pursuit of mastery. I am not simply part of the beauty industry.I embody its luxury, its innovation, and its transformative power.”

2- Career Inspiration: What inspired you to pursue makeup artistry and PMU, and how did your passion for beauty begin?

My passion for beauty began at an early age through my connection to art and interior design, where I learned to appreciate balance, form, and detail. These early creative experiences shaped the way I see beauty, as something intentional, expressive, and deeply personal.

From my very first steps in the field, I was drawn to uniqueness rather than imitation. I believed then, as I do now, that standing apart requires both courage and authenticity. This belief pushed me to refine my skills, explore new techniques, and continuously elevate my standards.

I work from a place of passion and genuine love for what I do. That passion continues to fuel my ambition, encouraging me to aim higher, evolve further, and contribute meaningfully to the beauty industry as both an artist and an educator.

3- With your many international diplomas and certifications, which experiences shaped your signature style the most, and why?

Every experience I gained throughout my career played a deliberate role in shaping who I am today. Each diploma and certification was not an isolated achievement, but an addition to a broader professional journey, one that allowed me to build a complete and informed understanding of the field.

Rather than relying on a single influence, my signature style is the result of combining knowledge from multiple disciplines, cultures, and techniques. This accumulation of learning gave me depth, flexibility, and the ability to adapt my work to different faces, needs, and artistic visions.

By bringing all these experiences together, I was able to create a distinctive approach that reflects both technical mastery and creative individuality. I continue to pursue further education and certifications, as I believe that growth and refinement are ongoing processes essential to maintaining excellence in this industry.

4- How do you balance creativity and technical precision in your work to create flawless, timeless looks?

For me, creativity and technical precision are inseparable. Creativity without technique lacks structure, while technique without creativity lacks soul. True mastery exists only when both are equally present.

Technical precision provides the foundation, it ensures safety, balance, and longevity. Creativity, on the other hand, brings emotion, individuality, and artistic vision. When these two elements work together, the result is a look that is not only flawless, but also timeless.

This balance allows me to create work that respects natural features while elevating them artistically, ensuring that each result remains relevant beyond trends and seasons.

5- Who have been the mentors or figures that most inspired and influenced your journey?

My first and most powerful influence has always been my passion for beauty and love for the art itself. That inner drive pushed me to explore, question, and refine my work long before external recognition became part of the journey.

Throughout the years, I have also been inspired by various international artists, educators, and industry leaders whose discipline, innovation, and commitment to excellence challenged me to raise my own standards. Rather than following one single mentor, I drew inspiration from many figures across different cultures and schools of thought.

Each influence contributed to shaping my perspective, reinforcing my belief that true inspiration comes from continuous learning, openness, and dedication to growth.

6- Signature Identity: What do you believe makes your work distinct and recognizable among other makeup artists in the region?

At the heart of my work is a human-centered approach that allows me to recognize beauty in every woman, beyond trends or fixed standards. I focus on understanding each individual’s vision, personality, and needs before translating that into an artistic result.

Rather than imposing a single signature style, I create looks that feel authentic and personal. This balance between empathy, technical precision, and artistic sensitivity is what makes my work distinct and consistently recognizable.

7- Latest Projects: Could you share with us your latest projects, both in Lebanon and abroad, and the stories behind them?

Recently, my focus has been on expanding and elevating the services offered at my salon, ensuring they reflect a complete and refined beauty experience. This includes introducing new services designed to meet the evolving needs of women, not only enhancing beauty, but also contributing to confidence, comfort, and overall satisfaction.

In parallel, I am placing strong emphasis on the growth of my Academy and Beauty Center, with the goal of educating and empowering more professionals in the field. Additionally, I continue to develop my makeup line, Blackline, a brand I created several years ago and am now actively refining and expanding to strengthen its presence and visibility both locally and internationally.

8- Working with VIPs: When working with high-profile clients, what is your philosophy for creating beauty that is both elegant and timeless?

When working with high-profile clients, I believe that simplicity is the highest form of sophistication. Timeless beauty is never excessive; it is carefully considered, balanced, and respectful of natural features.

Passion and genuine love for the craft guide every detail of my work. By combining restraint with intention, I create looks that feel effortless, refined, and enduring, allowing confidence and elegance to speak naturally.

9- Advice for Young Artists: What advice would you give to young artists aspiring to build a successful career in makeup and PMU?

I would advise young artists to work from a place of true passion and respect for the art, not from trends or external pressure. Creativity rooted in authenticity has far greater longevity than imitation, and passion is what sustains growth through challenges.

Continuous learning is essential, as knowledge in this field never ends. Staying close to clients, listening carefully to their needs, and prioritizing their vision — not your own — builds trust and long-term success. Above all, humility remains one of the most powerful qualities an artist can carry throughout their journey.

10- Beauty & the Soul: How do you see outer beauty reflecting the soul, and how does this philosophy influence your artistry?

As often expressed in the world of art and expression, the eyes reveal more than appearance, they reflect emotion, confidence, and presence. Outer beauty becomes meaningful when it allows these inner qualities to surface naturally.

This perspective guides every aspect of my work. My approach focuses on enhancing expression rather than masking it, ensuring that each result feels authentic and balanced. When inner confidence is respected, beauty becomes refined, timeless, and deeply personal.

11- Vision & Future Goals: What are your future aspirations — for your academy, personal brand, and the beauty industry as a whole?

My vision for the future is centered on growth with purpose. For my academy, I aim to continue expanding its educational scope, offering advanced programs that combine technical excellence, ethical practice, and artistic development. My goal is to empower professionals with knowledge that elevates both their skills and their confidence.

On a broader level, I aspire to further strengthen my personal brand while contributing positively to the beauty industry as a whole. I believe in raising standards through education, integrity, and innovation, helping shape an industry that values authenticity, responsibility, and long-term impact over short-term trends.

12- Expansion & Next Steps: You’ve successfully opened in Lebanon and the UAE — what’s next for you, and are there new horizons you’re planning to explore?

My dreams have always been ambitious, and I believe growth happens gradually and with purpose. Step by step, and by God’s will, I continue to work toward those goals while remaining focused on the present journey. The future is never fully known, but progress is built through consistency and dedication.

At this stage, there are new steps being taken beyond where I am today. My priority remains creating meaningful results, clients who feel truly satisfied, confident, and fulfilled. From there, expansion becomes a natural outcome, and in time, this path may lead to new branches and broader horizons.
